My first acquaintance with your company was Mr. John Bolton. I was introduced to him through another satisfied customer, Jerry Geiger. John is unique, in my opinion, as automobile salesman go. He was aggressive yet not pushy. He was very respectful but sill made me comfortable. I don’t want this note to be about Mr. Bolton, because you know how his head will swell even more if I go on. It was however, John that put me in your dealership. Knowing how busy my schedule was, is, he called and asked if I was going to be in my office for a while, and then asked if he could drop by for a couple of minutes. I agreed and he showed up in my new F-150, to be. I looked at the vehicle and made an appointment for the following Friday to meet at his office. I did.

This is where your company really started to shine. The first issue I noticed was, this is not your usual new car dealership. Where are the vultures swooping around waiting for the kill? John greeted me, showed me around the showroom, and introduced me to just about everyone we ran into. He was more interested in showing me the people he works with than selling me a car. He even introduced me to other customers! My credit information was sent to John on Wednesday to get a jump on the buying process, so after the remaining paper work was completed, he told me to relax while Jay was entering my data and the truck is being prepared. Walk around eat and relax. He, with my permission, went about his business serving other customers. While I was checking out your facilities, a young man came up to me and asked if I was hungry? It was around noon time and I could smell a Bar-B-Q so I replied in the positive. I was led to the employee’s lunch area and sat down, presented with burgers, potato salad and cole slaw, dug in and enjoyed. So here I am sitting around with the “Boys,” watching Cops on the tube, shooting the bull with the guys like I have known them since childhood. (No exaggeration.) I mean I, we, were having such a great time, they had to page me over the intercom to locate me to let me know I had to buy a vehicle!

Now I am in Jay’s office. I have been in this seat many times before and I knew what was coming. This is the closer! BRUTAL is there middle name! I am going to be barraged with crap to buy! I am going to be scared to death that I will be abandoned if I don’t buy this or that! To my surprise, it was none of the above. If Jay is your closer, then the Tom Jones Company is the Los Angeles Dodgers, because you have a Gagne! Jay was one of the more pleasant people I have met. Why shouldn’t I of expected that? After all, I was in dreamland auto sales, wasn’t I? I was presented with options I didn’t want, and some that I did opt for. That’s it, painless. Once Jay did his thing I was returned full circle to John Bolton. At this point, keep in mind, I am delighted with my purchase and I haven’t even test drove the thing yet! John said to me, “One more thing and I won’t take no for an answer. The truck is almost ready but you can’t have until we drive it down to the gas station and top off the tank for you.” They did, I was given the keys, John showed me around the interior, big smile on my face and away I went.

A couple of weeks later, I was driving down the road re-thinking about this experience, yes it left that much of an impression on me, and my cell phone rang, it was Bolton. I asked him if he had planted a Jones bug in the cab that automatically ques his phone when a customer is thinking about the sale. It was a follow up call which I value very much as a sales person and find as a very effective tool. (It prompts this type of response and additional business.)

In closing, Mr. Ron Jones, keep doing what you’re doing. You have a wonderful staff, a great facility, and a very pleasant atmosphere in which to do business on both sides of the deal. Thank you!

This was the first time ever that I really enjoyed dealing with an auto dealership. I can not think of a nicer group to deal with. The truck is great, as I dreamed it would be.
